Do not go into this spike thinking that they be a high cushioned feel like a carbon plated marathon shoe. I would not say though that the foam is a very cushioned ride compared to the other super spikes. The foam in them is light, has great energy return, and provides a great sense propulsion. The upper did not inspire confidence initially preparing to go around curves, but once I did I find that they stayed well attached to my feet with minimal shifting. The knit of the upper helped to wrap around my feet. Once I did it got the lockdown, the upper, while not the most secure feeling, felt snuggly attached to my feet. It is an upper that I found was a little hard to get the right lock down at first. The upper sacrifices in the name of lightness. The lightness of the spikes is like nothing else. Since they are a md spike they are on the aggressive side for running the 3k. The design and likeness are unlike anything else out there.
